I hope things change for the better. I think it is slow going especially in some areas of the country, attitudes can be so entrenched and fear-based. Folks like you are such good ambassadors, though, that maybe you'll spark a peaceful revolution. In Seattle it is already happening, at least in some areas. The City now requires composting food scraps either in the yard waste or at home, residents are allowed up to 3 chickens, and I think maybe 2 pygmy goats per household just got approved too (don't quote me on that, I'm not as up on the ruminants). Just on my block, two new families got chickens this year and more turned over sod to add veggies. More people would do it if they could get over their inhibitions/prohibitions/general silliness and fear of the natural world. Well, I have gone on long enough but I'm with you all the way! Good luck!!
